SCRAPTIVITY #1

Memorial Day Weekend! Summer! More Memories!

Last week we presented the S.C.R.A.P. System to you as a way to get organized and get your scrapbooking done. As promised, each week you will receive a challenger or Scraptivity to do. Remember –Simple Creative Remarkable Artistic Pages.

Today’s challenge is all about the memories! When Teresa and I started scrapbooking in the early 2000’s, our photo’s needed to be developed. Usually, we would run to Costco or Walmart and get them developed so that we could SEE our memories; and then we stuck them in a box somewhere to scrapbook later! Many boxes and boxes later, maybe we would get a page done!

With the coming of the Digital Camera, it is so easy to become complacent and forget that we have virtual “boxes and boxes” of photos that need to be scrapbooked. We may not have the boxes taking up space, but we also do not have them staring at us reminding us to get them on a page to document those memories. Instead, we have gigabytes of photo files on our hard drives or memory cards that need to be printed.

So – your challenge for this week is to choose two events of photos that you have been ignoring and get them printed! (Of course, if you are really motivated, do more than two!) If you take pictures today, choose them and one other event. We suggest having them professionally printed. Using your home printer is very costly and time consuming. Costco, Walmart, Walgreens and good options and you can download your photos to their websites and pick them up usually the same day. Watch for special deals. Also, you can take your memory card in and use the awesome Kodak machines. We saw that Inkley’s (locally in Utah) offers a special .06 cent deal on certain days of the week.

Go get those photos printed and get ready for next weeks challenge!

Please remember – we love your comments! Thanks to those followers who commented last week. We love to hear back from you!
