Retreat Tool Box

It is so frustrating to be away from your scrapbooking center and find that you are missing a tool or a key element to create a project. Having a well stocked tool box can be the solution to many headaches. Here are my suggestions for a basic stocked tool box. Essentials:
  • Scissors, small and large, paper trimmer, craft knife
  • Replacement blades for trimmer
  • Black and Brown distressing ink
  • Bone Folder – for creasing paper
  • Ruler, pen and pencil
  • Sanding tool – for distressing
  • Adhesives – tape runner, glue stick, two-way glue pen, glue dots in several sizes, pop dots
  • Replacement for tape runner
  • Sponge – to keep fingers clean while mod-podging
  • Paint brush – to curl paper and glue in tight spots
  • Sponge brush – mod-podging and distressing
  • Eraser – helps remove unwanted glue
For some of the kits that will be offered at the retreat, these items will make life much easier for all:
  • Spritzer bottle for water – distressing
  • Old gift card – smooth out mod-podging
  • Q-tips
  • Stapler and
  • staples
  • Glossy Accents-excellent glue and embellishment
  • Xyron X – makes everything a sticker
  • Wet wipes
  • Scor-tap ¼” – ribbon and to make pockets
  • Sticky note pad
  • Handle pad for distressing – use with ranger distressing inks
  • Ibprophen, band-aids, lotions, lip balm – for comfort
